We make
Brandenburg's
quantum heart beat.

The CQTA team at DESY Zeuthen advances quantum technology and applications, with a global mission firmly embedded in the ecosystem of the federal state of Brandenburg, Germany.

CQTA serves as a trusted interface between world-class research and its practical use. Through early-stage innovation support and ecosystem connectivity, CQTA ensures that quantum technologies develop in the public interest and foster societal value.

View of the campus in DESY Zeuthen 1

Campus Zeuthen.

CQTA is located on the DESY Campus in Zeuthen, a site renowned for cutting-edge research across fields such as accelerator science, astroparticle and particle physics. Located in the beautiful natural landscape of the Dahme-Spreewald region and just a short distance from Berlin, the campus combines scientific excellence with a calm, inspiring environment. This unique setting makes it a perfect and peaceful home for a quantum hub in Brandenburg, where research and innovation can thrive alongside nature.

DESY Zeuthen 2

DESY. A Helmholtz centre

DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres, advancing fundamental science and enabling innovation across accelerator physics, photon science, particle and astroparticle physics, data science, and more. Within DESY, our work is embedded in DESY Quantum, which brings together activities in quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum materials to foster a coherent and forward-looking quantum ecosystem. As a Helmholtz Centre, DESY is also an active participant in the Helmholtz Quantum Platform, contributing to a nationwide effort to develop scalable quantum technologies and strengthen Germany’s position in the global quantum landscape.
